Seville, the charm of the south

Seville, the biggest city of southern Spain, is also one of the cultural capitals of the country. Its Giralda and Reales Alcázares (royal palace), see picture at the top of this article, are the symbols of the city. The easy-going atmosphere and its warm climate (although sometimes too hot in summer) make the capital of Andalusia one of the most livable cities of Europe.

Triana is considered the soul of the city, it is a blooming neighbourhood just next to the centre. If you want to live as the locals do, this is your choice.

Nervión is another area considered as the modern centre. This neighbourhood is quieter than the centre itself and Triana, but it has all the things that you want (shopping malls, restaurants, supermarkets, schools, etc.). It is also the district of Sevilla with more green areas.

Los Remedios , also a modern district as Nervión, it is a good choice if you are looking for a quiet place where to live (the busy centre and the tourists visiting the city are far away).

La Alameda de Hércules is the art district, with local shops in its narrow streets. This is the place where you can find 100% Andalusian houses.

The Madrid property market is still the best in Europe

The Madrid property market has experienced massive structural change. These include an improving housing stock, the Government decreasing real estate taxes and increasing infrastructure investment.
Factors such as Brexit and people fleeing the Trump Administration have driven new investors to the city. In fact, according to Deloitte, 20% of all Spanish real estate transactions made in were by foreigners. These were almost all on the Mediterranean Coast, the islands or in Madrid.
Madrid is benefitting from the fallout of the Catalan Independence Movement. Once a prime spot for Spanish real estate investment, increased instablity and xenophobia in the region are causing investment to shift to the capital.

After years of sharply falling prices, it appears that the Barcelona Property Market is finally beginning to upturn so now really is the time to buy property in the Catalan capital.

In 2018 property prices in Barcelona rose by 14.4%, which from a property point of view makes it the most dynamic city in Spain.

Experts are clear that, particularly in the Catalan capital, the economic recovery is now in full swing and the reason for this is mainly due to the fact that Barcelona projects its international image so successfully, particularly as far as tourism and the Barcelona brand is concerned.

Combining this with the fact that throughout the worst years of the crisis property prices in Barcelona fell by 50% when you take inflation into account means that prices are still relatively cheap from the point of view of certain buyers, particularly foreign ones.

Valencia has seen an increasing presence of foreign buyers after its market crisis. With relevant capital inflows, infrastructural projects have since been under development, selling for an average price of $195 /sq. ft., half that of those in Madrid and Barcelona . The percentage of foreign investors on overall real estate transactions in the central area of Valencia is more than 30%, 18.2% higher than 2017.
